New Alliance To Generate More International Business At Fish Expo WorkBoat Northwest

Portland, ME, June 11, 2003– International promotions of the annual Fish Expo WorkBoat Northwest trade show have received a boost. The Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle is now promoting Fish Expo WorkBoat Northwest to international inbound and outbound delegations. The Trade Alliance is also developing a business conference track and planning a VIP business leader reception at the show.
“Seattle is homeport to a large concentration of commercial fishing and marine businesses that are vital to the local economy”, stated Bill Stafford, President, Trade Development Alliance. “We recognize the importance of these businesses to the region and want to have a greater presence at their industry trade event-Fish Expo WorkBoat Northwest.”
Fish Expo WorkBoat Northwest, taking place at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center on November 20-22, is the only West Coast show for the commercial marine industry, as well as the largest annual gathering of commercial fishermen in the world. Last year, international visitors representing 25 countries attended this event.
The Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle joins other respected associations who hold members meetings and educational luncheons at this show each year, including Seattle Propeller Club, North Pacific Fishing Vessel Owners Association, United Fishermen of Alaska, and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.
